SUMMER DAY CAMPS

The New River YMCA Summer Day Camps offer full-day programs at three elementary school locations in Onslow County. These camps provide kids with the opportunity to discover new talents, explore exciting interests, and build lasting friendships. Activities include a wide range of indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, sports, and thrilling field trips. Campers will also enjoy trips to the Aquatic Pool facility on base!

Important Registration Note:
When registering your child, please select the program based on the grade they will be entering this fall (2025–2026 school year). This is their rising grade level. For example, if your child is currently in 2nd grade, they will be a rising 3rd grader and should be registered for the 3rd/4th Grade (BRAVO) program.

Camp Eligibility:
Our camps are open to children entering 1st through 6th grade in the 2025–2026 school year (ages 5–12). To be eligible for camp, children must have completed Kindergarten.

• Rising 1st and 2nd Grade – ALPHA
• Rising 3rd and 4th Grade – BRAVO
• Rising 5th and 6th Grade – CHARLIE

We also offer a Middle School CIT (Counselor in Training) Program for rising 7th through 9th graders, available exclusively at our Clyde Erwin location.

• Rising 7th through 9th Grade – DELTA

Multi-Child Discount:
If you have more than one child, each additional child will receive a $10.00 discount. After completing registration, please email our administration at admin@newriverymca.org, and we will apply the discount.

Camp Locations, Dates, and Times

Additional Camp Information:

• All campers will receive one free field trip camp shirt. Camp shirts are only required on field trip days and will remain on-site for the summer. Additional camp shirts can be purchased during registration for $10.00 each (optional).

• Campers are required to bring a packed lunch, water bottle, and wear closed-toed shoes each day.
